Welcome to Grace's YWAM Creative Arts DTS Journey

Hi, I’m Grace and I’m doing a Discipleship Training School (DTS) mission with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in South Africa between July – December 2010. I hope to learn to use my gift of dance to share God's love with the most vulnerable and hurting in this world. Please join me on this journey!!!

Celebrating Jesus

Hey guys, tonight we had great prayer and praise party. One of our staff had been going through a really tough time over the last couple of days and had really lost his joy which is the essence of who he is. But tonight after some serious rebuking from God, we all had an incredible evening praying, worshiping God and he rewarded not only Etienne with joy overflowing but the rest of us too. God is so good. Tonight - both myself and few others were really able to say that we became drunk in the spirit and were overflowing with laughter. It was amazing!!! I love you Jesus - more of this!!! Watch this space on Friday for further updates as we hope to have an all-night prayer time where we go out to the community too and pray for the people in the clubs and pubs. Tis very exciting!!! Bring it on Jesus!!!

stripping away the dross and getting back to basics

hey guys, this week's blog is pretty deep as we went really deep this week from doing spiritual warfare, casting out demons to worshipping on the beach, clearing a more than overgrown school field to praying for a random guy in the street who was healed from alcoholism. Truly life changing and I'm not sure life is ever going to be the same again as I know I'm nto the same person I was when I left. Check out the recent pages section to find out more.

Thanks to everyone who made my birthday so special last week. I love you all and miss you very much. Take care and speak soon.

Totally Worth It!!!!

So guys, things are really heating up and getting deep here. This week we went from sharing compliments and building each other up to weeping before God as he healed us and helped us forgive many people in our lives as well as asking for forgiveness from each other. We ended the week on Sunday at different churches having been invited by the Dutch United Reformed Church and I had the privilege of spending the afternoon with missionaries to Zimbabwe and the Transkei (an indigenous people group of South Africa) where one of the girls on the team comes from - over our first properly cooked family meal and many stories of the rife witchdoctor activities in this country.

We learnt about witchdoctors this week, now we're all just getting over a freak basewide bug - a coincidence...hmmmm.... Nevertheless - this week we had a crazy celebration of nations where people danced, sang, cooked, and moved powerpoint presentations on with their toes - Dong Uk and Sin bong - how we love you guys. This week we're all learning about worshipping God and learning how to dance. Click this link to see pictures: Audience with God

More info on pages / latest blog section today. Please check it out. Hope you're all well and good. Speak soon.
